COME AND SEE ME READ.
what a self-centred title. i love it. if you are in the vancouver area, you can come and see me read at LOCUTION:
.
.
WHERE? OCW’s Project Space (222 East Georgia – right at Georgia and Main)
WHO? Me, a guest reader, and two other fabulous readers from the UBC MFA Creative Writing program.
WHEN? Thursday November 17th at 7 PM!
WHAT? Every month, the UBC MFA in Creative Writing puts on a departmental reading, which usually consists of about 3 student readers and one guest reader. We’ve had readers such as Liz Bachinsky, Sarah Leavitt, Carmine Starnino, Kate Braid with musician Clyde Reed.
WHY? Because if you are a man I’ve dated, you might hear a poem about yourself. Conversely, if you are an interested audience member, you will either hear me read about my vagina being made of steel, me meeting a black bear in a garbage dump, or archangels. Personally, I think it is a win-win all around.
HOW? Get on a damn bus!
